Verdict

Montaser could turn out to be a decent stayer in the making and is well enough handicapped but David Simcock said he needed quick ground after he scored over 1m4f at Haydock. If the going dries up, he would be the one to beat. Rockfella has won six times including over 1m6f on soft ground so he'll have no problems staying nor will ROMEO MONTAGUE, who has to be the form pick after his cracking run in the 2m6f Queen Alexandra here behind Simenon where he led at the 2f pole. Purification hasn't had much racing and made most over 2m1f at Doncaster last time, staying on at one pace after being headed 2f out. Martial Law won over hurdles last month but was well beaten in heavy ground a couple of weeks later.
