Verdict

This looks tight between those at the head of the betting. Adayar returned to action with a Group 3 success at HQ and both he and My Prospero filled the places behind BAY BRIDGE in last year’s Champion Stakes over track and trip, albeit on slow ground. The latter found Luxembourg too good in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last month though had to be switched for a run so Sir Michael Stoute’s charge is fancied to turn the tables in this. Mostahdaf won a Group 3 in Saudi Arabia back in February but was well beaten by the selection in last year’s Brigadier Gerard at Sandown while the US challenger Classic Causeway is facing a tough task in this company.
