Verdict

A wide open contest here with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Harris Bay, Boychuk, Cruising River and Madison Du Berlais and the narrow vote is given to Harris Bay. The selection won well last time out when beating Without A Doubt and although rising in the weights he has conditions to suit and he looks a value bet in an open affair. Boychuk rates the main danger on his latest third behind Glasker Mill but he looks weighted up to his best and looks vulnerable to a less exposed type. Cruising River won well last time when beating Yardbird but he looks the yards second string on jockey bookings. Madison Du Berlais was fourth behind Denman last time and he could go well at a price as he looks sure to appreciate this faster surface. Cerium looks vulnerable under top weight. Of the remainder Alderburn is sure to have come on for his latest start but in a race where few can be ruled out Harris Bay looks a value bet.
