    Verdict

This has the makings of one of the best races of the meeting. Sea Moon will enjoy the conditions and has done better in subsequent races than Masked Marvel, who beat him into third in the St Leger. He didn't get the clearest of runs at Doncaster and should reverse that form with the winner, especially as William Buick, the successful rider, has opted for the in-form Aiken, who loves soft ground and has won his last six races. He had the Melbourne Cup and Hong Kong Vase winner Dunaden behind at Chantilly last time but the latter has taken a while to get back to form after his travels and can come out on top this time. MEMPHIS TENNESSEE has had only six runs in his life and was very close up in the Derby's at Epsom and the Curragh last year. He didn't run again after the Curragh until reappearing in the Ormonde Stakes at Chester where he didn't have too much to do but won like a horse going places this season and this can be the stepping-stone.
