Verdict
Unless one of the newcomers turns out to be above average, MALABAR looks the one to beat. She made a late surge to take fourth in the Albany Stakes over 6f here last month and should prove suited by this extra furlong. Crystal Malt stayed today's trip well enough when runner-up at Doncaster earlier and makes more appeal than both Jillanar and Rosie Royale. Roger Charlton won last year's renewal with a newcomer but Sister Of Mercy was tailed off on her debut at Newbury. Mistrusting is the first foal of a Group 2 winner and What Say You is a sister to the useful Martin Chuzzlewit.
