    Verdict

Blue De Vega won this in 2018 but was due to run at Newmarket yesterday. The latter finished behind Magic J at Sandown when Ed Vaughan’s charge beat Konchek though the former has been raised 8lb for that success. A winner at Haydock last month, Mountain Peak failed to cope with a rise in the weights over track and trip last time though still finished in front of Aplomb, Street Parade and Tone The Barone. But it could pay to stick with the unbeaten BOMB PROOF (NAP), who had been off the track for over a year when defying a penalty at Beverley and there should be plenty more to come from James Fanshawe’s charge now handicapping. Mubaalegh is difficult to assess debuting for a new yard though won four of only 11 starts when trained in France.
