        Verdict

        Monsieur Joe and Masamah are afforded respect at the head of the weights but so is ROBOT BOY. He's come right back to his best on recent starts, winning the Gosforth Park Cup and an excellent third last time in a hot sprint here won by Discussiontofollow from Milly's Gift. The latter re-opposes but the selection is taken to reverse placings at the revised weights, with handler David Barron a shrewd planner of his southern raids. Peterkin is another strong northern raider with speed to burn since being dropped to the minimum trip with two wins out of the last three. Any improvement is possible with Mark Johnston in his current form. Racy and Barnet Fair have place claims.
