Burnt Sugar arrived in much better form when landing this 12 months ago off a 2lb lower mark. Arbalet and RIPP ORF filled the places that day and it’s about time David Elsworth’s charge was getting back to winning ways. Hayley Turner’s mount loves the hustle and bustle of these big-field handicaps and is back on the same mark as when successful over track and trip last September. Vale Of Kent was back on-song in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket two weeks ago and Frankie keeps the partnership intact. He makes most appeal of the three penalised recent winners and is also preferred to stablemate Lake Volta. Land Of Legends is interesting as the Godolphin three-year-old was always holding Reputation at Newmarket and has a Group 2 entry. Mubhij continues on an upward curve so can’t be ignored while Joseph Tuite’s pair, Larchmont Lad and Kimifive, could run well at bigger odds.
