        Verdict

        Malhub will like this fast ground and deserves compensation after two near misses in Group 1 company. A winner over course and distance at the royal meeting, he is sure to have plenty of support in this, but the Group 1 penalty he picked up there, may just find him out. French raider Crystal Castle has a bit to find on official figures, but he is unexposed over this trip and is almost certainly better than he has shown so far. Polar Way is a progressive individual and deserves a shot at this level. He has been brought along steadily and his confidence must be sky high. However, the one to beat is Bahamian Pirate, who deserves to win a big prize having just lost out in the July Cup, from a poor draw. He lost his chance in the Nunthorpe by walking out of the stalls and the he didn't have the best of runs in the Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup at Haydock. Three Points is worthy of respect and should make the frame, while it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if Twilight Blues was also to run a big race.
