Thousand Stars loves it around here and won this in 2012. His season has been geared around another crack but this time he faces his old adversary and stablemate ,Hurricane Fly, who has also won on the track though over much shorter. Willie Mullins' stable star is now eleven but has shown little sign of deterioration and his placed efforts in the Champion Hurdle and on his first attempt over the trip in the World Series Hurdle when just outstayed by Jezki suggests he's up for one last hoorah in Paris. Activial, placed in the Coral Cup, came here for a Grade 2 in April and though finding the trip too short ran well and has a weight allowance but the one to be on looks to be ZARKANDAR. Paul Nicholls' charge, third in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham, was placed behind the classy Gemix in this last year and beat that rival over slightly shorter here in November. He didn't look at his best at Aintree but will be tuned to perfection for this and can see off a home challenge, led by the improving though untested over this trip Voiladenuo.
