        In depth

        Verdict

        Willie Mullins runs two in this but the pick of the Irish runners may be the 2022 Grand National winner Noble Yeats, who won the Grade 2 Many Clouds at Aintree in December. Carriacou was second in this in 2021 but a recent victory at the track came over hurdles. Doctor Squeeze was just behind Altesse Du Berlais and only a length-and-a-quarter behind Doctor Kaleo here last month and is 7lb better off, though was only fifth earlier at the track in a Grade 2 won by Gex when Metasequoia was second and Starlet Du Mesnil fourth. The latter was even further behind ROSARIO BARON in March and Daniela Mele’s six-year-old appears to be going from strength-to-strength. He’s up in class and distance but can give a good account. Spes Militurf disappointed last time but it’s too soon to write him off.
