Verdict

Top Billing defied a rise in the weights to land a double at Huntingdon and has a further 12lb hike to contend with here. But he's rapidly improving and should be thereabouts once again. BESCOT SPRINGS had slipped down the handicap before scoring at Perth and remains on a winning mark despite a 7lb rise - he gets the nod dropping down a grade. Quel Elite is a rare winner but went close at Haydock off today's mark at the start of the year and Wellforth can race off a lower mark back over the smaller obstacles on his return to action.
