In depth

Verdict

Saint Equiano was very impressive when making all over the course and distance last month but this is slightly tougher and he has an 8lb rise to contend with. His stable companion Tough Remedy was making his handicap debut when scoring at Newcastle but he's been hit with a 9lb rise. Amplification comfortably landed a Class 5 handicap at Ffos Las but this is two grades higher and he's up 6lb. Lord Of The Rock ran well in the Spring Mile at Doncaster but has been disappointing so the vote in a tight handicap goes to FALMOUTH LIGHT. Iain Jardine's charge won a Doncaster handicap at this level on his reappearance in June and ran very well over a trip too short here last month. Explain just failed to hold shock winner Gin In The Inn over 6f at Pontefract last week and the six-times winner can race from the same mark.
