Verdict
This might lie between BEDLAM BOY and Teenage Idol and with the former proven on this sort of ground he is marginally preferred. Ferdy Murphy's gelding made mincemeat of his rivals at Carlisle last time out and he jumped with alacrity and accuracy. A decent hurdler, he could feasibly go to the top over fences and he can land this before going on to bigger and better things. Prince Tam is open to improvement now tackling fences but he has several stone to find on hurdles ratings and this looks too tough, so of more interest is Teenage Idol. Howard Johnson's course winner makes his chasing debut this afternoon. Traditionally Sadler's Wells doesn't produce too many top-notch chasers however this fellow certainly has the scope to make an impact over the bigger obstacles if taking to it. Primrose Time was brushed aside by the selection at Carlisle and the same is likely to happen again with the mare, whilst Tartan Snow completes the line-up. He became very disappointing over hurdles in the spring and he has a little to prove now tackling fences. This looks a good chance for Bedlam Boy to enhance his reputation.
