Verdict

Locked Inthepocket has shot up the weights over hurdles and fences lately and was due to race over the larger obstacles here yesterday. Pas Trop Tard arrives in terrific form and a 7lb rise for winning at Wetherby doesn't look excessive. However, he's unproven over this extra half-mile and the trip will take some getting on the ground. SEVEN IS LUCKY is approaching the veteran stage nowadays but made a very promising reappearance at Aintree last month when fourth to Bear's Affair. That was a better race than this and Jim Goldie's 11-year-old has been dropped 2lb since. He likes it here and can get back on the winning trail. Lady Bluesky was soundly beaten off a similar mark here in November and neither Purcell's Bridge nor Leith Walk have shown enough lately to merit serious consideration while chaser Hollo Ladies has also been out of form.
