In depth

Verdict

John Caesar had gone 18 starts without winning on Turf before landing a double at Beverley last month and is penalised for last week’s success in an amateurs' race. CLIFF BAY makes more appeal in this on last month’s placed effort at Hamilton as Keith Dalgleish’s charge won off today’s mark earlier this year. Rioja Day won at Hamilton in August but ran a shocker last time while Ingleby Spring continues to slide down the weights and an apprentice takes a further 5lb off her back today.
