In depth

Verdict

Good Investment can make the most of his light weight to see off the challenge of Baawrah, Ambition Royale and Fearless Foursome. Pat Haslam's jumpers are ticking over nicely at present and he looks set for further success with Good Investment, a winner from out of the handicap at Kelso on only his second outing over hurdles a month ago. Also successful on the Flat in June, he has the scope to progress further, especially over this longer trip, and despite being a few pounds worse off now with Kelso runner-up Baawrah, he is taken to maintain the form. Ambition Royale was well beaten in the race won by Flotta at Wetherby but will come on for the run, while Fearless Foursome drops back in trip after finishing third over 27 furlongs at Kelso last time. The rest make little appeal, and Good Investment should live up to his name again.
