The vote's given to Apache Nation but could as easily have been awarded to Primo Way or Papa's Princess to name but two. Michael Dod's mare is a grand sort and has been threatening to strike for a little while now. These are her conditions, she's a dual course and distance winner who comes into the race in form but the handicapper has her about right so everything will need to come right. Primo Way had little chance in a seller last time but that wasn't a bad run and he's another that should relish conditions with the cheekpieces back on. Stablemate Mystical Air hasn't been in great form but has a superb record here so can't be dismissed. Papa's Princess won her sole start here but appeared to need every yard of the nine furlongs on that occasion, stablemate Darfour also has claims as he drops down the weights and Hansomis has made the frame on her last two visits here. That all makes for an interesting little race with Apache Nation the suggestion.
