Verdict
Baysbrown has the best recent form of these but has been raised a further 4lb having failed to cope with his new mark at Carlisle. Marlee Massie won four times last season, beating Cruachan on a couple of occasions, after finishing second to Johnny Go at Cartmel and looks the pick of Nick Alexander's two runners but this looks too far for Thorpe. Turtle Cask needs the mud so we'll take a chance on LOCHNELL as Iain Duncan's raider runs his best races here, is fairly treated and will strip fitter for a recent pipe-opener.
