Verdict
Bailieborough will win again at some point but we'll take a chance on it not being today and instead plump for Thumpers Dream at a price ahead of Emerald Bay and Street Warrior. Ian McInnes's filly disappointed when last seen at Nottingham but that was on unsuitably soft ground. This looks her best trip (didn't stay a mile and a half last year) and having run a blinder on soft ground on her debut, fresh may be the best time to catch her. Emerald Bay was well-held in a valuable affair at Newmarket last time out but this is more realistic and he has claims, although the suspicion is that a mile suits best. Street Warrior was all-out to win last time out at Bath so whilst it doesn't sound a lot, a 2lb rise in the weights may be enough to scupper his chances. Goodbye Mr Bond and Trouble Mountain are both capable on their day so neither can be ruled out, however Thumpers Dream could be capable of scoring first time up this season and gets the nod.
