Verdict
Len Lungo decided to give Aintree a miss with Brooklyn Breeze and his patient policy should be rewarded. The five-year-old cantered home when landing a bumper at the Merseyside venue last November and followed up in fine style at Musselburgh on his debut over timber. This looks to be a much easier task than the one he would have faced last week, and he is taken to score again before thoughts are turned to his intended career as a two mile chaser. His main rival is undoubtedly Throwaline who was fully expected to land the odds in a weak affair at Hereford on what was his second run of the current campaign. A debut bumper winner at Wincanton last season, he should progress but might find the ground a bit lively. Almost Broke came down three out at Uttoxeter when still going well, but he too faces a question over the going, and Brooklyn Breeze should easily have his measure in a bid to emulate the Bajan Bandit, successful for the stable 12 months ago.
