In depth

Verdict

Jim Goldie’s pair - Goninodaethat and Cheeni – are starting to look well treated and both are previous course and distance winners. The former fared best behind Kibaar over 5f here last month. As in the first race, there is a strong challenge from Ireland. First Bombardment may need this but Duncan Of Scotland won over track and trip last month and is only 3lb higher. Vallarta was only sixth in that contest but had earlier beaten Your Pal Tal over track and trip. Rain is forecast and that can only help YES YOU, who is much better on soft ground and was only beaten a length off this mark at Hamilton last time.
