In depth

Verdict

Today’s going is not ideal for last week’s course and distance winner Redarna while Tadaany scored over 6f in soft ground at Hamilton recently but has yet to win over today’s distance in 17 previous attempts. Acadian Angel was placed on a couple of occasions here earlier this year but has yet to encounter going this soft while Colour Contrast has not won anywhere in 29 starts. But BREAK THE SILENCE won over 7f at Southwell on his penultimate start and back on a suitable surface today, Scott Dixon’s charge should make a bold bid off his current mark.
