In depth

Verdict

John Monash returned a losing favourite in a maiden hurdle here last time behind Caledonia, due to run in the first race on the card. Glacial Rock was also placed in maiden company when runner-up at Perth but TANTAMOUNT (NAP) was third in a higher grade handicap than this at Aintree recently. Dropping back in trip, he can land this for the in-form Lucinda Russell yard. Solway Prince is usually thereabouts at this level while Rock Relief drops further down the weights and Too Cool To Fool can race off a lower mark back over the smaller obstacles.
