In depth
Verdict
A narrow verdict goes to Briar's Mist over Behavingbadly and Moon Mist in a very tricky one to call. The selection arrives here on the back of several fair efforts this season and is only 5lb higher than he was when winning at Uttoxeter on heavy ground last December. A dour test obviously suits the Trevor Hemmings-owned gelding and he can atone for a below par effort last time now that he tackles a more appropriate trip. Behavingbadly holds Ta Ta For Now on Kelso form of last November and it is not unfeasible for him to go close today. However, his going days are hard to predict and he was no match for Moon Mist here last month. The last named is another whose profile leaves a little to be desired regarding her consistency and she could be vulnerable off a 7lb higher mark over this longer trip. Therefore, Briar's Mist looks the percentage call in race that should play to his strengths as things unfold.
