Verdict
Awake My Soul threw in a rare poor effort at Haydock on Saturday but is better than that and beat Fort Belvedere over track and trip in June. The latter is weighted to turn the tables in this, however, while Ginger Jack is unproven over today's distance though he did score over 1m1f at Ripon earlier. SPIRIT OF THE LAW was beaten less than two lengths when fourth in a more competitive race at Goodwood last time and Richard Fahey's charge is taken to make the most of the drop in class and come out best. Kashmir Peak will have come on for last week's belated seasonal debut but may prefer a longer trip nowadays.
