      Verdict

      A winner at Musselburgh earlier, SOLDIER’S MINUTE is now rated 98 after a fourth in Listed company at Doncaster and is the one to beat at this level if running anywhere near that mark. Both today’s distance and the going are new to Keith Dalgleish’s colt but Wax And Wane won a maiden race at Carlisle over a mile in testing ground and looks a threat on that form. Lynwood Gold has struggled under penalties since making a winning start at Epsom and the remainder have yet to look like winning.
