Verdict
Locally-trained Chinese Spirit was having a good season prior to finishing tailed off at Carlisle last time. Motarajel is back on a winning mark but would have preferred quicker ground. A BOY NAMED IVY hasn’t won since April of last year but is 7lb lower now. He’ll handle conditions and should take all the beating if a high draw doesn’t prove a disadvantage. Shimmering Sands is in good form but still needs to prove he is at home on rain-softened ground while Eshtora hasn’t pulled up any trees since making a winning debut on Tapeta in the spring.
