In depth
Verdict
The hat-trick seeking Fourth Of July only held off the enigmatic Lucky Flight by a neck at Kelso and the runner-up is now 6lb better off. Ben Brody needs it softer and Slanelough has had plenty of chances while Eskendash is 0-7 over the larger obstacles, though wasn’t beaten far last time at Kempton. JABOTICABA was more like his old self at Newbury after a break and has been dropped a pound since so, if he has turned the corner, can get the better of Kelso specialist Cedar Hill.
