Verdict
Monet's Garden can keep his unbeaten record intact, with Bay Magic and No Picnic the only ones to cause him any worries. Monet's Garden was put away after his Ayr debut win in bumper company, as the stable think quite a lot of him. Therefore it was no surprise when he reappeared with a comfortable success on his hurdles bow at Kelso a fortnight ago. A penalty should not stop the son of Roselier from following up and he rates a confident choice. Bay Magic and No Picnic are both much more exposed, but each have shown enough to suggest that they can pay to follow in staying contests. Cool Degree will stay and if fit enough may reach the frame, but the rest do not make much appeal. Monet's Garden, whose dam is a daughter of the 1978 Epsom Derby runner-up Remainder Man, has stamina and a bit of speed in his make up-enough to avoid opposing him here.
