In depth

Verdict

Lake View Lad makes a quick reappearance after falling at the first in last week’s Grand National at Aintree. Vintage Clouds wound back the clock when landing the Ultima at Cheltenham and the second won a valuable handicap at Aintree last week but AYE RIGHT was a fair third, despite not jumping with his usual fluency, and is 7lb better off. Harriet Graham’s stayer deserves a big prize having placed in the Ladbrokes Trophy and Sky Bet Chase earlier and he gives the impression he’ll relish this step up in trip. Sam's Adventure will have no problem last home as he won the Eider at Newcastle but he is probably most effective on a softer surface. Some Chaos could be interesting back over fences for the first time since November as he won over 3m2f at Kelso in October when beating Claud And Goldie and Chidswell. Dingo Dollar made a winning start for Sandy Thomson at Newcastle and Coup De Pinceau won over 3m4f at Taunton last month. Notachance won a Grade 3 at Warwick in January but then finished lame when uneasy in the market at Haydock in a race in which Enqarde didn’t appear to last home. Mighty Thunder arrives in fine form, however, having followed up victory in the Edinburgh National with a second in the Midlands National at Uttoxeter and he makes more appeal than Soldier Of Love.
