Verdict
There may be more to come from Descaro, who stepped up successfully in trip at Ripon last time and is gradually finding improvement for connections but with his 4lb rise here we will take him on with the well-handicapped SUMMER SOUL. Lucinda Russell's eight-year-old has been seen winning over hurdles more recently than his last Flat success, but he has scored over two miles on good to soft at Newcastle on the level from a mark of 70 and he can go well when fresh, so a bit of a break might see him able to take advantage of a mark of just 64 now. Tillietudlem would be a popular local winner but has never yet won on ground slower than good, while the same applies to Whispering Death, who returns after a long lay-off from a stiff mark. Wicked Daze is not badly handicapped but prefers faster ground and Forrest Flyer may not stay.
