In depth

Verdict

A strong pace likely and that should suit KIWI BAY who can pick them up late on. Michael Dods' gelding is back down to a fair mark and he has conditions to suit this afternoon. Fullandby would love rain, and in all likelihood a furlong shorter, whilst Esoterica is dangerously well-handicapped after some modest runs. Academy Blues looked progressive when well-placed earlier in the season but this looks tough, and a bigger threat might be the recent Hamilton winner Medici Pearl who has won at this meeting before. The return to seven furlongs will suit Zero Money and he looks of more interest than the Irish raider Tellelle or the recent Musselburgh scorer Justonefortheroad. Captain Ramius and Celtic Sultan both have a solid case to be made, with the former still well-handicapped on his form from last year.
