In depth

Verdict

Conquer Gold won a heavy-ground point-to-point in March and will have found 2m1f much too short in a Carlisle bumper last month. Jimmy Lambe has two entries and CINDER RUA should prove the best of them. A long-time maiden, his defeat by Witness Of Fashion over fences at Down Royal was boosted when the winner landed a much better race at Fairyhouse and this looks a good opportunity. Liam Lennon's winning point-to-pointer Waltz Legend unseated her rider in that Down Royal event and it's almost two years since she ran over hurdles. The selection's stable-companion Rambling Rosie was beaten a distance on her introduction in a bumper here in November but fellow raider Knocklayde Sno Cat has shown a bit of potential and should be suited by stepping up in trip. The Toft ran well in a maiden here in November but didn't take to fences at Wetherby last month.
