In depth

Verdict

It would be no surprise to see Tinker Toy bounce back after a poor effort in Group 3 company given Roger Varian’s yard have a fine strike rate at the track. Shelir went close over track and trip last time but faces tougher opposition today and VINTAGER makes more appeal. The latter won in this grade at Windsor having slid down the weights and can defy a 4lb rise. Marie's Diamond has come up short at a similar level lately while 7f winner Volatile Analyst has something to prove at the distance and last month’s Nothhumberland Plate hero Nicholas T may struggle returning to a mile.
