Verdict
David O'Meara runs four with jockey bookings suggesting Steel Train is the trainer's pick, though stablemates Regal Dan and Harwoods Volante also have a shout. Evanescent is closely matched with Steel Train on last month's running at Thirsk while Right Touch scored over 6f at Ascot a fortnight ago and had been placed over today's longer trip before. Free Code landed a double over 7f earlier in the year and the veteran Santefisio has a chance on his second here in June. Fieldsman showed signs of a resurgence when runner-up at Yarmouth last time but a speculative vote goes to Kevin Ryan's AL KHAN returning to this course for the first time since winning over track and trip in April.
