        Verdict

        Silver Rime is getting closer as he slides down the handicap but Sakhalin Star has an 8lb hike to contend with after an easy win at Hamilton. PICCADILLY JIM scored at Pontefract and was beaten only a head over today's distance at Carlisle last time with Tectonic back in third. Richard Fahey's charge gets the nod ahead of the in-form Advance who finished in front of Mash Potato when placed over a mile here recently. Iftikaar should be sharper for a recent reappearance and won in soft ground at Redcar at the end of last season.
