Richard Fahey won this with the smart Garswood last year so Back Lane is expected to improve on his second at Musselburgh. But he'll need to if he's to get the better of FAST TRACK. David Barron's colt won his handicap debut at Thirsk last time with subsequent winner Blithe Spirit back in fourth despite showing his inexperience. The former gets the nod as Excel's Beauty may boast the highest rating in this but she ran below par in soft going last time when a couple of lengths behind runner-up Mecca's Angel. The latter should go close again and so could Irish raider Hurryupharriet but Bahamian Heights and Umneyati are others with something to prove in the likely testing ground.
