In depth

Verdict

Derek Fox rides Blow The Budget for Lucinda Russell but his mount was beaten 20 lengths into third at Kelso and the stable have two other runners including JAMINOZ, who won twice on the Flat in the autumn including on soft ground. He could be good enough as the stable‘s Spit Spot has only won on Polytrack. Leitrim Chief has shown potential but has not run since March last year while Marty McFly was second in a two-horse race at Carlisle. Professor Klump was a disappointing favourite at Sedgefield while eight-times Flat winner Royal Prospect is making a belated hurdles debut.
