Verdict
Million Percent appears the safest bet ahead of Blackheath, Polar Impact and Bollin Edward in a tricky finale. Karl Burke's charge comes in to this in tremendous heart and followed a gutsy success in a minor event over this trip at Warwick with a creditable third off today's mark in a competitive Pontefract handicap last time. The form has been boosted as the winner followed up in a valuable sprint at Hamilton on Saturday night so Million Percent appears to have solid credentials on ground that should suit. Polar Impact has been in excellent heart of late but looks held by the selection on their running at Warwick when finishing three-and-a-half lengths behind and meets his old adversary on 1lb worse terms. Blackheath makes a quick reappearance after dead heating for first at Carlisle last Friday but now looks vulnerable under a 6lb penalty while Bollin Edward is also held by the selection on Pontefract running but has place claims in an open heat.
