Ballycoose was well supported for a Down Royal bumper in May and travelled well throughout to score comfortably though the form hasn't worked out. PARISENCORE couldn't get close enough to Since Day One at Newcastle though was only beaten a couple of lengths and the winner scored easily back there on Saturday. He holds Douglas Talking on that run while Sure Touch won a Wincanton bumper in January and started odds-on for his hurdling bow at Southwell last month but was beaten in a four-runner race that turned into a sprint. Much better is expected from the latter while Travail D'Orfevre, who won a heavy-ground bumper here last November, will be better for last month's hurdling debut here.
