In depth

Verdict

Shamayoun is in good heart at present and he can take the scalps of Bold Fire and Royal's Darling. Charlie Egerton's charge took some time to come to hand but he looks an impressive recruit and connections are taking no chances with Tony McCoy booked. Bold Fire has all the fillies allowances and is interesting. She finished seventh to our selection at Cheltenham and is clearly going the right way. Royals Darling is watched in the market. A good second to Detroit City, his stamina could be brought into play here at Ayr. Lerida pulled off a 50/1 shock at Musselburgh but would still need to find plenty in order to trouble the market principles. Shamayoun has the beating of the other market leaders on Cheltenham form and we shall seek not to oppose on Saturday.
