Verdict

The progressive SUMMERGHAND (NAP) has been raised a further 5lb as bids for a hat-trick but the manner of his latest victory at Haydock suggested there was plenty more in the tank and David O’Meara’s sprinter can go in again. Gin In The Inn can figure with Connor Murtagh taking 5lb off his back while Ower Fly went close over 7f at Catterick last time. Both Holmeswood and Dark Defender ran well despite finishing only fourth on their respective latest starts and are others to consider.
