In depth

Verdict

Thimaar was a very decent stayer on the Flat and was last seen in the Group 2 Lonsdale Stakes at York in August. However, this will be his first experience of really soft ground and he may just do better over a bit further in time. We'll take him on with KINGS PALACE, who lost nothing in defeat when just worn down by Captain Cutter in a Listed bumper at Ascot last month and looks a nice hurdling prospect. The others are probably playing for places and ex-pointers Bishops Gate and Blue Lodge may not come into their own until tackling fences. Heron's Mill was third over this trip on heavy ground at Newcastle two runs ago and looks best of the rest.
