Verdict

CROMWELL COURT can land this competitive heat with Quicoyo and Role On having strong claims on the book. The selection isn't the most technically gifted of fencers but he is predictably brave at his obstacles and if he can establish a clean early rhythm, he may be capable of putting his rivals to the sword. The fly in the ointment in that regard could be Quicoyo. Another to race prominently, he won a race over course-and-distance though he will need to have improved in order to carry today's winners penalty. Role On is sure to be popular. Proven on the going, he did get rid of Rose Dobbin at the second fence on his latest start and connections have decided to jock her off in favour of Davy Condon. Richard Fahey's stable have been among the winners so Dancer's Serenade cannot be written off, especially as the horse has shown his better form at this time of year. Pistol Basc and Maolisa look to have a tough afternoon ahead of them if all recent form is taken into consideration. Cromwell Court deserves to win this on account of his consistency and he should secure some recompense on this occasion.
