Verdict

STEINKRAUS posted his best effort so far when beaten only a neck at Carlisle on his handicap bow. Donald McCain’s charge looks the one to beat on that form. The Bravest makes his handicap debut over hurdles having recently placed on the Flat while Scots Sonnet was well beaten over fences recently but had won over timber at Perth before that with Mileva Roller well beaten. Petite Rhapsody was still on contention when falling in the same race and could go well.
