In depth

Verdict

A winner twice on the Flat, Elite Icon hinted at ability over hurdles at the start of the year. Irish import First One D'ana has a first start for new connections after a year off but Old Jewry finished third at Market Rasen last month and Fame And Hope makes his handicap debut. ESPOIR MORIVIERE (NAP) took a long time to get off the mark over timber but did so at Wetherby in March in a better race that this. A 4lb rise is not excessive and he can follow up.
