In depth

Verdict

LAYLA JOAN may not have had much to beat on her debut under Rules at Fairyhouse but scored with plenty in hand. She won over 3m between the flags so the extra distance here shouldn't be a problem and she'll be hard to beat. Rinnagree Rosie won over 2m4f here last time and may be improving but Flaming Matron has been struggling under a penalty this winter and was behind Nosey Box at Newcastle. Midnight Streaker could be interesting as she has won a point-to-point and has also been showing promise in bumpers while Pixie Cut was second on heavy ground at Catterick.
