    In depth

    Verdict

Gigs Magic, Komreyev Star and Hows That are three against the field in the finale and the narrow vote is given to Komreyev Star. The selection won well last time when beating Alisa. Granted this looks tougher but he looks on a fair mark and looks a value bet in an open affair. Gigs Magic rates the main danger on his latest second behind Kick And Prance but he is rising in the weights without winning and is taken on with this in mind. Hows That is another that could go well but he has yet to prove he stays this far. Barataria was second behind Fairy Monarch last time and if he repeats that effort he will not be far away but that is a big if. Of the remainder Scotty's Future could go well at a big price if the ground remains heavy but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Komreyev Star to small stakes
