Verdict
A winner at Cartmel in August, Nortonthorpelegend returned a disappointing favourite at Kelso recently when finishing well behind Damiens Dilemma. The latter has been raised 5lb for that success but ORIONINVERNESS (NAP) gets the vote. He was beaten only a length at Hexham on his reappearance despite his rider dropping his whip after the last and Lucinda Russell’s charge is taken to go one better in this. No No Mac is not out of this either off his current mark though has an absence to overcome but the remainder are harder to recommend unless the latter’s stablemate Finaghy Ayr can reproduce his third at Hexham back in March.
